Qibla Finder Morocco: Find the Exact Direction to Mecca
Our Qibla finder tool provides the exact Qibla direction, in degrees from north, for every city in Morocco. Whether you are in Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, or any other Moroccan city, you get a precise bearing to face the Kaaba during your five daily prayers.
How Our Qibla Finder Works
The tool uses your device's GPS to determine your exact location, then calculates the great-circle bearing to the Kaaba in Mecca (21.4225° N, 39.8262° E) using spherical trigonometry. This gives you the precise number of degrees clockwise from true north to face during prayer.
On mobile devices with a compass sensor, the tool shows a live compass dial that rotates in real-time as you turn, making it easy to align yourself with the Qibla direction instantly.

How to Use the Qibla Finder
Step 1: Open the Tool
Go to our Qibla Direction finder on your phone or computer.
Step 2: Allow Location Access
The tool will ask for your location. Grant permission so it can calculate the exact bearing from your position.
Step 3: Align with the Compass
On mobile, a live compass appears. Simply rotate yourself until the Qibla indicator aligns. On desktop, a map shows the great-circle arc from your location to Mecca.
Step 4: Use the Degrees Reading
If you prefer a physical compass, note the degrees shown (e.g., 93.7° for Casablanca) and use your compass to face that exact bearing.
Understanding Qibla Bearings
What Does "Degrees from North" Mean?
The Qibla bearing tells you how many degrees to rotate clockwise from true north to face the Kaaba. For example:
- 90° = due East
- 93.7° = almost due East, tilted 3.7° toward the south
- 180° = due South
Since Morocco is west of Mecca, the Qibla direction from all Moroccan cities is approximately east, between 80° and 99°.
True North vs. Magnetic North
True north is the geographic North Pole. Magnetic north is where a compass needle points. The difference between them is called magnetic declination.
In Morocco, the magnetic declination is very small (less than 1°), so compass readings are nearly identical to true north bearings. For maximum accuracy with a physical compass, use the "Magnetic Compass" column values from the table above.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How accurate is the online Qibla finder? A: Our Qibla finder uses the same great-circle calculation formula used by astronomers and Islamic scholars worldwide. The bearing is accurate to within a fraction of a degree from your exact GPS position.
Q: Can I use the Qibla finder without GPS? A: Yes. If you deny GPS access, you can select your city from the list and the tool will use the city's center coordinates to calculate the Qibla bearing.
Q: Does the Qibla direction change? A: No. The Qibla is a fixed geographic direction from any given point. It does not change with seasons, time of day, or year.
